France-based Socomec’s specialty is providing low-voltage energy installations, from equipment to monitoring, where energy is critical – robust and ultra-reliable solutions for buildings like datacenters, solar plants, utilities, and hospitals. Using Altair SmartWorks™, has enabled Socomec to implement increasingly sophisticated power setups and services, offering their customers the up-to-the-minute technology they need to power their businesses.

In the western part of the Netherlands, the soil has insufficient bearing capacity to allow for the construction of buildings and houses. To overcome this issue, buildings in this area have been built on timber pile foundations. These foundations have to be fully submerged in water to avoid pile deterioration from rotting and fungi. Property owners wanted a way to monitor the structural condition of their timber pile foundations. Omnifor teamed up with Altair SmartWorks and created a platform for structural health monitoring to track any signs of deterioration or shifting of the foundation. Data is collected at a specific rate to track the evolution of the deterioration along with an estimate of how long the property owner has until repairs are necessary.

Boyacá has been handling the daily delivery of newspapers and magazines in Spain for more than 35 years. Fulfillment of time schedules is essential for customer satisfaction and late deliveries can result in additional costs. Boyacá needed to have direct real-time information on arrival and departure times at each hub of the distribution chain in order to control costs with the lowest possible investment. Several hundred trucks are used for delivery every day.
